Just Stuff

So, Ranee` tells me that it only takes 5 minutes to write about your day… So here goes…

I don’t think my day was very interesting. I read a book by Georgette Heyer and decided that the Hero should have been a little more masculine. I don’t know… just my humble opinion. However, it was a nice little read. I got a letter from Sean and he is doing quite well… having great experiences and getting sworn at and doors slammed and all that good stuff. Savanna came home from school and I told her she needed to make cookies (I’m training her to be more like Nikki), so she made some delicious homemade oreo cookies. Of course, now there is a small mess in the kitchen…. To top the evening off, we went to Ranee`s Pampered Chef party and enjoyed good company, good treats and great grandsons. Keesha wasn’t allowed to come because A.J. had been a ‘bad boy’ earlier in the day… I’m not sure I believe that, my perfect grandchildren would never be “that” rude to their parents. Of course, getting mom a little be wet may have been cause for withholding A.J.’s precious Keesha from him

I had a wonderful chat with Ranee` and it reminded me how much fun it is to just sit and chat and spend time with her. It is wonderful to have daughters who are my best friends! So, I guess that wasn’t so hard. Maybe I’ll do it again sometime.

Sean’s Letter

well this week was pretty good we have been able to work with out our jackets for most of the week. this week we seemed to have a lot of negative things happen to us but that just makes it more fun. on eater we were knocking on doors and we went up to this one house that says no trespassing in the window and that we are on camera and stuff like that so we always knock on those doors because they usually just mean we shouldn't break into their house. so we knock and this guy comes out just steamin mad. It was my companions door so the guy said the f word a few times and how we should have read the sign. and behind him was like a three year old girl that looked terrified. any way we didn't really care but what about the children. like we were in a house the other day and I look over and this little 3 year old kid has a cigarette in his hand and he also has a lighter and he is trying to figure out how to light it. and the mom saw it and just went bazerk. screaming at him and telling him that he shouldnt be into that stuff and that he knows better. and we just shook our heads. what does she expect when she smokes them all day long and the kid is just trying to follow her example. it is a crazy world. Our Easter went well my companion got an Easter package and so i hid some of the eggs for him in our apartment and he found them. and then we went knocking on doors and we ran into this guy and we told him Happy easter and went to talk to him and then he was like I dont believe in Jehovah Witnesses. and we were like if we were Jehovah Witnesses then we wouldnt have told you happy Easter. Then he stood there and thought about it for a minute and was like what up guys what can I do for you all nice and happy like it was pretty funny we taught him and set a return appointment. Also on the same street there was this guy with I huge tree that had been chopped down until the stump of about 6 feet tall was left and he carved a statue of Jesus on the cross in it. and so when we knocked on his door he told us all about it and how if you touch it then he can heal you and so that was funny as well. Conference was really good I enjoyed all of the talks even thought most of the main points were not for me at this time in my life but you can still get a lot out of them. almost all of the talks talked about the family and how we need to teach our children so I am not to that point yet. and I lot of them were about how to be a better daughter or mother and I will never be to that point but there was still a lot of good stuff in all of the talks. president Uchdorfs on patience was my favorite and my favorite story was the one of the little kid with the book and his dad asked him how he knew every thing it was because mom told him. between conference we at at a member house and it was just like family home evening because it as a family all getting together and the grandma who fixed it all always feeds us and she thinks she always has to have a fancy meal for us and every thing is perfect. well this time because of all of the people it was just chili in a crock pot and some chips witch was still really good. so the whole time she was just like I am sorry elders that this is just kind of thrown together and we kept telling her that is was fine. well after we got done eating she was walking behind me and I told her that the meal was really good and she must have thought that i was being sarcastic because she just whacked me in the back of the head. and of course you know I am sarcastic most of the time but i wasn't being this time and it was funny because there was another set of missionarys there and my companion and them just started laughing it was pretty funny she is a sweet lady she reminds me of grandma. well that is all that I can think of to write this week i hope all is well have fun with the Fisks and tell them hi for me.
